Rejuvenation is about more than the cosmetics that you choose to use on your body. |
Sometimes we all must declutter and push the reset button of life. |
Refocusing on priorities or sometimes saying “NO” is not selfish, it’s selfless. These things can be hard work but are so worth it! |
We oftentimes busy ourselves to the point of being overwhelmed, exhausted and stressed out by trying to be and do everything for everybody else. |
This can lead to burn out… now who will you be able to help? |
Suppose you’re always too busy to commune with God. Your Spirit life suffers. You search for answers, peace, worth, wisdom and fulfillment and find that they slip your grasp. |
Suppose you’re always too busy to think productive, positive thoughts but instead find yourself constantly entertaining negative thoughts and words. |
You may say “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words and thoughts can never hurt me.” The truth is, negative words and thoughts do hurt us. |
When we lose our focus, we doubt ourselves, we doubt God and we doubt what He says about us. We start to regurgitate and believe those negative words and thoughts that we’ve been thinking and saying. |
Those negative words and thoughts now start to affect our Soul (our mind, will and emotions) and usually lead to feelings of despair and unworthiness. |
Finally, suppose you’re too busy to give your Body clean water, healthy food and daily exercise. How long do you think your body will live and in what condition would it live? |
There is nothing wrong with busily working or sharing or lightening the burden of others. I get it, busy is what we do… “a servant’s heart,” but remember, sometimes saying “NO” to distractions and those things that could lead to our demise can bring balance, rejuvenation, focus and will allow us to reset, recharge and continue the work! |
